Crawford vs Khan live Free Fight Signup Tv Bloody Elbow is here to provide you with detailed, round-by-round coverage and running commentary of tonight’s title fight. The ESPN PPV starts at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT, with prelims on ESPN2 at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT. Prediction – Crawford vs. I predict a late-round knockout victory for Terence Crawford. Amir Khan has never faced a fighter with the skillset Crawford possesses. And while the same can probably be said for Terence Crawford, Khan has shown in the past that he has numerous flaws which a fighter on Crawford’s level should be able to expose. On Saturday, Terence Crawford will defend his WBO welterweight title against Amir Khan in the headlining bout of the main card, which begins at 9 p.m. There will be a preliminary card on ESPN2 beginning at 6 p.m., which will also be streamed via WatchESPN.

Adames (16-0, 13 KOs), 24, of the Dominican Republic, signed with Top Rank last year after first coming to the attention of company officials after giving Crawford quality sparring.

'I am thrilled and proud to fight at Madison Square Garden once again,' said Adames, who made his Top Rank debut at MSG last May on the Vasiliy Lomachenko-Jorge Linares undercard. 'It is a great honor to be in action on such a big stage and on an important card like this one.'

The fight will be Adames' first under the tutelage of renowned trainer Robert Garcia.

'We are working on a lot of new things,' Adames said. 'This will be the new era of 'Caballo Bronco.' Frank Galarza is a good, experienced fighter. I know he has faced good opposition and that he is training hard for this fight. It will be a very interesting fight because he will be battling against someone that wants to be one of the greats in the sport. I'm coming to make noise in the 154-pound division.'

Galarza (20-2-2, 12 KOs), 33, of Brooklyn, has won three fights in a row since back-to-back losses to unified world titleholder Jarrett Hurd -- before he won his belts -- and former world titlist Ishe Smith in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

'There is no better place for this fight to be than at the Garden,' Galarza said. 'It's a dream come true for me. I'm ready to show the world what I'm really made of. Carlos and I both are ranked in the top 15 in the WBO. He is coming to my backyard, and it's going to be a great fight.'

Also, former Indian amateur standout Vikas 'The Indian Tank' Krishan (1-0, 1 KO) will face Noah Kidd (3-1-1, 2 KOs), 23, of Jefferson City, Missouri, in a six-round junior middleweight bout.

Krishan is a two-time Olympian and is the most decorated amateur boxer in Indian history; he signed with Top Rank last fall. He is the only Indian fighter to win gold medals at the Asian and Commonwealth Games. Krishan turned pro with a first-round knockout victory on Jan. 18 on the Oscar Rivas-Bryant Jennings undercard.

'As I continue my pro journey, it's an honor to fight on such a significant card,' Krishan said. 'There is a large Indian population in New York and New Jersey, and I can't wait to see the support from my Indian people. It's going to be a special night.'

Crawford Vs Khan Prelims Fight

Choctaw casino poker room. On Saturday, April 20, at Madison Square Garden, in New York City, Terence “Bud” Crawford (34-0, 25 KOs) will defend his WBO welterweight title for the 2nd time since beating Jeff Horn in 2018. He will be fighting Amir “King” Khan (33-4, 20 KOs). Most people look at this as a money grab for Crawford because Khan is a big name who hasn’t been competitive within the top tier of welterweights for quite some time. This is boxing though, and while there’s a very good chance Crawford destroys Khan and possibly even retires him, you never know. Crazier things have happened.

Crawford last fought in October, defeating Jose Benavidez Jr. (27-0, 18 KOs) by TKO in the final round of their bout. He has looked unstoppable up until now and is considered by many the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world, or at least top 5 by all credible sources including our very own Eightcount.tv rankings. This fight would give Crawford a big name on his resume, and a career high payday. The guaranteed purse number for Crawford has not been confirmed, but Amir Khan is walking away with about 5 million dollars. Prior to this fight, Crawford’s highest payday was only just over 3.6 million dollars.

Crawford is a big favorite in this fight, and rightfully so. Through 34 fights he has been flawless. None of his opponents have been able to figure him out. He has had a few good opponents in there, but no one considered elite. Nonetheless he doesn’t fail the “eye test”. He’s a “switch hitter” (capable of switching from orthodox to southpaw stance with ease). He’s a very patient fighter combined with great timing, very high IQ, a phenomenal jab, and is one of the superior counter punchers in the sport. It makes you wonder, how could Khan possibly win at this stage in his career?

Khan fought in September, fighting to a unanimous decision victory over Samuel Vargas (30-4, 14 KOs). Crawford is levels above anyone Khan has faced since 2016 when he got KO’d by Canelo Alvarez. He’s a major underdog in this fight and he will have to dig deep to even survive for 12 rounds, let alone win. The only way he has a chance is if he matches his boxing IQ with that of Crawford. Everything else won’t be enough. All the physical tools in the world will not help him against a world class fighter like Crawford. He will need to be mentally prepared and come with a good game plan.

Khan has a bad habit of getting too comfortable, too much into a rhythm and he gets careless. He does not have a very good chin, so he can’t afford to make either of those same mistakes in this fight. Khan has very good speed and fast hands. That might be his only advantage coming into this fight. He’s a very good boxer, but Crawford is simply better. What most people look at when they see Khan is a “glass chin”. His chin always fails him against aggressive, elite power punchers. Crawford has knockout power but he is known more for his boxing ability. It will be interesting to see how Crawford approaches this fight. Will he come out guns blazing or will he try to methodically break Khan down?

Keys to Victor for Amir Khan:

  • A complex game plan. Crawford is so good at what he does – switching from orthodox to southpaw. Khan will have to be prepared for both. It will be a chess match all the way through. He has to be prepared for everything, will need to pick his spots very carefully, watch the counters, and be on his toes all fight. He cannot get comfortable.
  • Use footwork and head movement. Khan gets in the most trouble when he’s throwing combos in bunches. Normally that’s a good thing, but since his defense isn’t the best and his chin also is sub par – he will need to use movement constantly to avoid counters. He will have to move in and out of the pocket quickly, while landing 1-2 combos, maybe moving in and out just to bait Crawford in as well. He shouldn’t try to throw any more than 3 punch combos. Crawford could allow him to do this early, possibly to bait him into a trap and counter him hard and test that chin early. Use plenty of feints/head movement. Crawford will be looking to counter everything. Don’t let him get any kind of tempo going.
  • Be Patient. Khan likes to start fights fast, and that could work against him with a counter puncher like Crawford. Use movement and feel out Crawford. Gauge the distance early. The last thing he wants to do is come in guns blazing and end up losing his legs early.
  • Come forward, but do it intelligently. This goes back to fight IQ. Crawford usually likes to be the one coming forward, figure the out the range early on, and then have his way with you. Khan will have to control the distance in this fight to have chance. He shouldn’t press too hard, but he will want to keep his foot on the outside and use Crawford’s tactics against him. Again jump in and out of the pocket, gauge distance with a poking jab.

Keys to Victory for Terence Crawford:

  • Be aggressive. Khan has always lost when he’s punching and his opponent is throwing bombs at the same time. Crawford is the superior counter puncher. Use Khan’s speed against him. Khan also has a bad habit of dropping his hands at times – test that chin early and often. My guess is Khan will fold like a lawn chair.
  • Control Khan’s movement. Crawford likes to plant his foot on the outside of his opponent’s feet to keep them on the inside. It helps him put them in awkward positions that are very unfavorable, and in Khan’s case could be detrimental. One would imagine Khan knows this from watching tape, and will be trying to counter this tactic. If Khan didn’t do his homework that well – look for it.
  • Timing & counter punching. This is what will decide the fight. If Crawford is able to find his timing early, he will be able to counter Khan at will. If he doesn’t get him with the one big shot, the accumulation of punches will take its toll.

Prediction:

This will either be a complete slaughter or turn into a chess match if Crawford decides to be super patient and not aggressive from the opening bell. Khan has always done poorly against elite/aggressive fighters – guys who bring it and aren’t afraid to stand toe-to-toe with him and exchange. Khan has many flaws for someone who fights at the top level. Most of them go back to fundamentals. Hopefully he has gone back to the basics this fight camp and worked on some of his bad habits so that this fight can at least be competitive for the first half of the fight. All in all, it sounds great when making game plans for fighters, and showing that they can do things to create problems for their opponents, but in the end, there are levels. Crawford is levels above Khan. At least that is what he has shown up until this point. I don’t see a fairy tale ending for Khan, and I don’t see any comeback story either. I see a boxer who was once top tier, who is now washed up and doesn’t have the same sharpness he once had. I see Crawford winning this fight by TKO. I will not predict rounds because it could go different ways depending on the game plan Crawford comes to fight with. Crawford is so intelligent that he could skin this cat at least 3 different ways.
